In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
